Essential driver training (E.D.T)
We are expert E.D.T. x 12 Basic Training Providers. Cyril aims to apply techniques systematically so that they become an everyday part of pupil's driving with his methodical approach which reflects current best practice.
Essential Driver Training (E.D.T.) is a mandatory course of 12 lessons for learners of category B vehicles over six months. Its aim is to concentrate on driving behaviours which research shows contributes most to collisions and injuries. Safe and socially responsible driving depends on not only the skills of the driver but also their attitudes to driving and road safety. In the following programme the learning-to-drive process will be designed to develop a learner's understanding of the effect that their actions or lack of them, have on others. The right attitude and behaviour are the key factors to becoming a good driver apart from skill and experience, which come with time.
